The Midwest Museum of American Art is pleased to present a new spotlight exhibit featuring artwork by Gwen Gutwein.
Heritage Barns of Indiana is the result of a multi-year project by Ft. Wayne artist, Gwen Gutwein. Selecting two historic barns in each of Indiana’s 92 counties, Gutwein often painted on-site with the permission of the owners. One major result of this project was the formation of the Historic Indiana Barns Foundation of which Gutwein is a founding member. With the completion of the project and the publishing of a seminal book about the subject, the paintings are now available to purchase. Gwen will give a talk about her work and sign books on Thursday, August 26.
This spotlight exhibit will open on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, and will continue through Sunday, September 26, 2021.
