The Midwest Museum of American Art is pleased to present a new exhibit featuring photographs from the collection of Dr. Rick and Cindy Burns.
While the term vernacular refers often to the amateur status of the maker, in this exhibit it refers to the everyday and ordinary places, people and objects embraced by some of the most renowned fine art photographers of the past 100 years. Artists like Dorothea Lange, Walker Evans, and Pirkle Jones are included. Assistant Curator Randall Roberts has selected these images.
The exhibit will conclude on Sunday, October 1, 2022.
