The Dawg Band is an acoustic Americana trio that draws songs from bluegrass and country to folk and gospel, and even the Great American Songbook. They’re known for their tight vocal harmonies backed by guitar, mandolin, pedal steel, and bass. Its three members are Duane Gundy, Jim Shenk, and Randy Horst. (FYI: the name Dawg comes from ‘Dawg music’ which was started by David Grisman in the 1970s – it combines traditional acoustic music with other genres like jazz and pop). Some of the songs will include Paradise (made famous by John Prine), Marbletown, Wayfaring Stranger, Georgia on my Mind, and Song for Life.
